Feel Useless And Always Blame Yourself?
, for the last 2 years I feel something is wrong with me. I always feel useless, worthless and useless, and always blame myself for it. Suddenly I can cry by myself even though there is no problem, should I venture to a psychiatrist?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Feeling worthless, worthless, often blaming yourself, and crying for no apparent reason for years can be signs of depression. This condition can arise due to various causes, including genetic factors (congenital). In addition, the following factors also make it easier for someone to experience depression:
History of psychological trauma, such as the loss of a loved one, work problems, economic hardship, marital conflict
Personality types, e.g. introverted, pessimistic
Medical history, such as hyperthyroidism, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, head injury, cancer
Drug side effects, such as sleeping pills, anti-hypertensives, and so on
In addition to depression, your complaints may also arise from chronic fatigue syndrome, dissociative disorder, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, anemia, hypoglycemia, and so on.
As a result of complaints as you experience, a person can experience a significant decrease in the quality of life. This is characterized by reduced work productivity, impaired interpersonal relationships, lack of enthusiasm for doing preferred activities, and so on. Therefore, further evaluation and treatment is needed by a psychiatric specialist (psychiatrist).
In the early stages, the doctor will generally interview you in depth to explore the cause of your complaint. In addition, a physical examination or also supporting, such as laboratory, thyroid function fingerprint, brain record, and so on may also be done to rule out other possible risk factors. If it is true that your condition is classified as depression, then treatment can later be done through psychotherapy, to the administration of anti-depressant drugs.
In the meantime, you should realize that the condition you are experiencing right now can have a bad impact on your own future. Know, everyone in the world is born with their own problems, not only you. Overthinking a problem, blaming yourself, and being overly sad won't solve your problem, but quite the opposite. Entertain yourself by interacting a lot with people who love you. Lots of meditation, relaxation and recreation to calm your mind. Stay away from alcohol, cigarettes and illegal drugs. Live a healthy lifestyle, namely by exercising regularly, eating healthy and nutritious foods, and getting regular sleep. Finally, improve the quality of your worship and surrender all your problems to God.
Hope it helps ya..
