Feeling Weak In Diabetics?
Greetings I want it. Just 1 month ago I was convicted of diabetes. 1 month ago blood sugar 365, and now it has dropped 118 after lunch and just checked 1 day ago. And now I’m trying to diet adjust the diet. In the afternoon, I eat rice with rice, vegetables, and side dishes. In the evening, I only eat fruit, for example dragon fruit or melon. And I drink a lot of water. And after I don’t eat, drink sweet more than 1 month. . When the blood sugar is normal, but in the morning I feel like I have no energy, I feel weak, I have a bit of a glare, isn’t it? Is it only because I don’t eat rice? .Suggestions from people around, if you tell you to limp drinking sweet tea or candy. What is it? Or how. 25 years old
Hello Fitri Suparno,
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease in which glucose metabolism is disturbed in the body. It takes the insulin hormone produced by the organs of the pancreas so that glucose (sugar) from the food-digestive tract-blood vessels can enter the body's cells and is used for energy production. Energy is needed in every human activity.
Diabetes mellitus is characterized by an increase in blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). Many things can cause diabetes mellitus namely insulin production disorders, disorders of the pancreatic organs, insulin-resistant cells. There are many types of diabetes mellitus including type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes. Risk factors for diabetes include:
Hereditary factors, your risk of developing diabetes increases if your parents or siblings have diabetes
Obesity / overweight
Lack of physical activity
History of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, PCOS
Diabetes patients often feel weak because even though they eat / their blood sugar is high, the body's cells cannot utilize the sugar / enter the cell to produce energy. This is because the lack of insulin and / or cells are not sensitive to insulin. Sudden weakness can also occur due to a decrease in blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia). This often happens in diabetic patients with medication who are not getting proper food intake or using the wrong medication. Other common symptoms of diabetes are:
Excessive hunger despite eating
Wounds that are difficult to heal
Leucorrhoea, fungal infections of the genitals or other body parts
If you experience signs of hypoglycemia such as body weakness, dizzy eyes, cold sweat, such as fainting, can be given first aid drinking sugar water / sweet tea 150-200 ml. Then immediately check yourself into the nearest health facility. Always control your blood glucose levels and evaluate treatment to the doctor regularly. Eat foods that are suitable for diabetics and exercise regularly. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
