Feelings Of Depression?
good afternoon, I’m Anne, 24 yrs (Private Employee)
Hello, good morning Anne.
Feelings of hopelessness, always feeling sad, and the desire to end your life (even if it's just a wish or an idea) can all be symptoms of a Depression condition. Other symptoms of depression include always being burdened with guilt, having no interest in everything (in hobbies, socializing, etc.), always burdened with guilt, irritability, crying easily, difficulty concentrating, etc. In addition, patients who are depressed may also experience changes in menstrual cycles, constipation (defecating less than 3 times a week), sleep disturbances, always feeling tired, changes in body weight and appetite.
Apart from depression, other possibilities that may also cause similar complaints that you experience include bipolar disorder and anxiety-diffuse depression disorder. In bipolar disorder, there are mood swings that are very fluctuating and drastic, for example, the person suddenly feels very happy after having previously had an episode of gloomy / sadness. Meanwhile, anxiety-diffuse depression disorder is when a person experiences symptoms of depression (which have been mentioned above) which are mixed with symptoms of anxiety disorders, namely often feeling anxious and worried about everything even for trivial things, often feeling tense, grumpy, etc.
We suggest that you and your mother consult and see a psychiatric specialist (psychiatrist). The doctor will ask questions about the complaints you are experiencing and perform a general physical examination to get a diagnosis of your complaint. Treatment can be in the form of administering drugs (such as anti-depression drugs, anti-anxiety, etc.) and psychological therapy. While waiting for the doctor's appointment, here are some things we can advise you to do at home:
do relaxation such as doing meditation, yoga, listening to music, etc.
manage stress wisely
meet the people closest
do recreation with family
perform acts of worship that can enhance your personal relationship with God
exercise 3-5 times a week
not consuming alcohol, not smoking, and not consuming excessive caffeine
I hope this helps.
Greetings, dr. Denisa
