Feet Aches After Being Pricked By A Needle?
Hello, I was pricked in the leg near the shinbone, but no blood came out and only caused a speck of injury. In my opinion, the pins are not too rusty, but one hour after being pricked I felt my legs ache a little. Is this a natural thing? Or is there something I need to do? Thank you
Hello Arum, thank you for asking.
Stab wounds caused by needles are common. Generally this wound is very small and not dirty so it is not dangerous. If you are worried about tetanus, it is unlikely that the symptoms of tetanus will appear one hour after. Tetanus, caused by the bacterium Clostridium tetani, takes at least 4-21 days to cause symptoms of infection. Bacteria enter from a wound, generally a dirty wound, such as an injury due to an accident or work injury due to a sharp sharp object.
The first thing you need to do is, after a wound occurs, immediately wash the wound with clean water. Apply antiseptic solution to help kill bacteria. Basically, if your wound is clean, it's less likely to get an infection. The aches that you feel can happen because of your worries. However, if you are in doubt, consult a doctor. The doctor will clean the wound. The doctor will also assess whether you need to get anti-tetanus serum or not.
Thus a brief explanation that I can give. Hope you are helped. Regards.
