Feet Aches And Cramps Under The Knee After Exercise?
Hello. So it was around 9 a.m. I was exercising and lots of knee-bending movements. Suddenly in the afternoon, my right leg hurt. As far as I know, cramps occur under the knee, while the top of my knee is painful. I tried to compress it using ice cubes but the pain spread to my thigh. What to do? Because this is very annoying especially during prayer
Hi Ayu .. Thanks for the question.
Before sports must be warmed up first. Warming up is good because it can increase body muscle elasticity, increase muscle strength, increase muscle metabolism, increase heart rate, allow joints to work more efficiently. Seeing the many benefits of warming up, therefore proper warming must be done at least 5 minutes before exercise.
Improper heating can result in the emergence of muscle cramps or muscle pain / myalgia. Muscle pain can occur due to excessive physical activity, tension in certain parts of the body, injury or trauma. Apart from muscle pain, it can also be caused by fibromialgia.
To reduce the pain that you feel, what you can do include:
Cold compresses the painful part
Rest the painful part
Do a light massage on the painful part
Avoid strenuous activities until complaints improve
If it is very painful you can take paracetamol according to the dose
If the complaint does not improve then you can do a check with the nearest doctor
