Fetal Movement 27 Weeks Gestation Inactive?
Good morning. I want to ask. I am pregnant with my first child at 27W. Yesterday I was fasting for a day. Initially my fetus’s movements are active and strong, but after 4 days after fasting, my fetus has become less mobile and his movements are also weak. Not usually like that … Why?
Hello, good afternoon Mama Yoshi ...
Several conditions can cause reduced fetal movement, including:
fetus is sleeping
mother is dehydrated / lack of fluids
the fetus does not get enough nutrition
an increase in the amount of amniotic fluid so that fetal movements become less pronounced
reduced oxygen supply to the fetus, one of which is due to the umbilical cord
To ensure that your fetal movements are indeed reduced or not, you can do a baby's gesture calculation. Normally within 1 hour the fetus will move 8 to 10 times. Try to count when you are lying down, because usually fetal movements will be more pronounced when lying down than when sitting. You can also try to provide a stimulus so that the fetus is encouraged to move, the stimulus can be consuming sweet foods / drinks, consuming cold drinks, or turning on loud music.
If after calculating the fetal movement is indeed reduced or you feel very worried or anxious about the condition of your pregnancy, we recommend that you immediately check with your obstetrician to anticipate the worst possible.
So, I hope this helps, and I hope it is always healthy for mothers and prospective children :)
