Fetal Movement Is Not Very Active At 30 Weeks Gestation?
I want to ask, I am pregnant with my first child, she is 30 weeks old, but how come she rarely moves? The movements are very smooth, he said, most people when they are 30 weeks pregnant, the baby’s movements are very hard, like kicks from a soccer player, why is it different from my baby?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Fetal movement in the womb can be a very subjective sensation. This generally begins to be felt clearly by the mother when the pregnancy is large enough to enter the 20th week or so. Although, many pregnant women, especially those who have been pregnant and gave birth before, can feel this fetal movement at an earlier age.
At 30 weeks, the normal size of the fetus is 39 to 40 cm and weighs about 1300 to 1400 grams. Because the size of the fetus is quite large, most mothers can easily feel the movement of the fetus, which is like the sensation of hitting or even kicking. However, in some people, this movement can also feel not very clear, as you experienced. This condition can be influenced by the following factors:
Mistakes in determining gestational age
Mother is less sensitive to feel the movement of the fetus
Mother is stressed or has too much activity
Fetal size, if the size of the fetus is smaller than the gestational age, the fetal movement will be more difficult for the mother to feel
Polyhydramnios, too much amniotic fluid volume will make fetal movements blurry
The position of the placenta (the placenta), if the placenta is located in the front of the uterus, then fetal movement tends to be more difficult to feel, because it appears more often in the right or left area
Fetal position, fetal movement mainly arises from the movement of the hands and feet, when the position of the fetal hands and feet is bent into the body, the movement can be felt more faint
Inhibition of fetal growth in the womb, for example due to hypertension in pregnancy, placental disorders, malnutrition during pregnancy, fetal defects, and so on
In general, it is still said to be normal if the fetus in the womb moves at least 8 to 10 times in 1 hour, although the intensity is not too strong.
However, to be more objective, you should check your womb directly to a gynecologist for an ultrasound examination. That way, if there are abnormalities, then the treatment can be done faster.
In the meantime, you should always take care of your womb by resting regularly, consuming a balanced nutritious diet, drinking enough, staying away from cigarettes and alcohol. Stimulate your baby to be more active, namely by often talking to him, stroking his stomach, and listening to comfortable strains, such as music, and so on.
Hope it helps ya..
