Fever And Vomiting Accompanied By Blood?
Hello, I want to ask, so yesterday afternoon I suddenly had a fever around noon. Well, at three the fever is getting higher until Maghrib. I still hold fasting so it won’t be canceled. When I open it I only drink water because I don’t have an appetite. Before the fever, my shoulders ached. From the previous day I was sick. After breaking the fast I try to take Paracetamol. There already square off want to throw up and what comes out is only water because they have not eaten. Little saliva and blood. Rather small lumps like that. What is that? My throat hurts just right. But my fever went down right after the blood came out.
Hello, thanks for the question.
Fever is a condition of an increase in body temperature exceeding 38.5 degrees Celsius which appears as a response to the presence of toxins or substances in the body that trigger changes in the central temperature regulation in the brain to raise body temperature as the body's response to fight germs or disease. Fever accompanied by signs of bleeding, such as vomiting blood, nosebleeds, red spots on the arm, black bowels, etc. can be caused by several things such as viral infections, such as dengue virus infection that causes dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), disease blood disorders, autoimmune diseases, blood cancer, and so on. In addition, vomiting of blood itself can also be caused by bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum or it can also be from a swallowed nosebleed. The diseases that most often cause vomiting of blood include erosive gastritis or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastrointestinal injury, esophageal varicose rupture, etc.) such as blood tests, x-rays, endoscopy, etc. as needed, the treatment will be adjusted to the underlying cause of the complaint. To help reduce fever should:
Compress with ice water or plain water on the folds of the body
Use thin clothing so that body heat can evaporate
Try to be in the room with cool air.
Drink enough water to avoid dehydration at least 2L / day, in conditions of fever it is recommended to consume more than 2L of water because fever can cause the body to lose a lot of fluids.
Eat healthy and nutritious food
Consumption of heat-lowering drugs such as paracetamol which is sold freely in pharmacies to reduce heat, heat will usually go down a few minutes to several hours after taking the drug.
If the complaint still does not improve, immediately see a doctor.
Thus, hopefully useful.
