Fever, Back Headaches, Cough Colds, And Body Aches?
afternoon doctor, three days ago I had a fever, headache (head swirl), cough, runny nose, and body ache also sometimes shivered, now the fever has gone down, the cold is not too much, the cough is dry and the stomach hurts if I cough, then my head severe and back pain or vortex of his head, why do you think doctor? I’ve been to the puskesmas but if in the puskesmas it was only asked about complaints, just not checking until 1 minute 30 seconds
Thank you for the question.
Fever, headaches, cough colds and body aches are common and unpleasant complaints, and we understand your discomfort. This is usually influenced by weather change factors, temperature factors, and also the body's defense factors. Possible causes of your complaint can be:
Upper respiratory tract infections, which can attack the nose, throat, and tonsils. The infection can also cause complaints of headaches and shivering, and is usually caused by a viral infection (common cold) that will improve by itself within 1-2 weeks without the need for treatment.
The following recommendations you can do at home to reduce complaints:
Get enough rest, reduce activities that are too heavy.
Take pain relievers as well as reduce fever such as paracetamol.
Take a dry cough medicine that contains antitussive compositions such as dextrometorphan which can be purchased freely at pharmacies.
Inadequate nutrition and 2-3L of water per day.
Use a mask if you want to travel, or at least use a tissue / handkerchief when coughing and sneezing.
If within 1-2 weeks the complaint does not improve after making the above recommendations, you can consult your doctor again to find out the cause of the complaint.
Hopefully this information helps and hopefully get well soon :)
