Fever, Dry Throat And Cough, Is It Corona?
My doc has a fever, my throat is rather dry, my cough is rare, but my breath is not short, is that a sign of a normal fever or corona?
Thank you for the question.
Symptoms of COVID-19 (a disease caused by a new Corona virus infection) can vary from person to person. Your condition that has a fever, dry throat, sometimes cough can be caused by COVID-19, can also be due to other reasons, such as infection with other microorganisms, allergies, dry throat, irritation, immune disorders, benign or malignant tumors around the airway, and so on . If you do not have risk factors, such as having been in contact with a person with COVID-19, having traveled or having contact with someone who has traveled to an area with an outbreak of COVID-19, it seems that your worries can be cleared first. Try to resolve your complaint first with the following steps:
Take paracetamol medicine to reduce fever
Use a mask
Do not always do activities outside the home, except when urgent
Don't be exposed to dust, cold, wind, smoke, pollution, cold and oily foods, and other substances that often make coughs worse
Limit shouting or excessive talking
Increase endurance by getting enough rest, exercising discipline, eating a variety of nutritious foods
Do not smoke
If then the complaint does not improve, if you appear shortness or vomiting, and if you feel that you have the above risk factors, you should consult your doctor directly to get the best treatment. Later, the doctor who will give you medicine, recommends an examination supplements (such as blood tests, x-rays, or sputum testing), even refer you to the right specialist (such as lung or internal medicine) if necessary.
I hope this helps.
