Fever In The Afternoon?
, I want to ask every afternoon before night I always have a fever and my head is dizzy and I don’t have an appetite every time I want to eat rice I feel nauseous but when the morning body temperature returns to normal, it’s been 4 days, at first it happened because of flu symptoms then how to handle it?
Hi Puspa, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Fever is the body's defense mechanism to stop the rate of growth of bacteria or viruses that are infecting, because most bacteria and viruses cannot thrive at temperatures above 37 degrees Celsius. Fever itself has many patterns, there is a pattern of continuous fever, up and down, intermittent and so on. This can also be used as an indication of a specific disease that attacks.
In your case, a fever that starts to appear in the afternoon until the evening and improves in the morning has the two biggest possibilities, namely typhus and malaria. However, other possibilities such as dengue fever, leptospirosis, hepatitis, or influenza may occur.
So the best way is to check with your doctor. Usually when the fever is 4 days old, the doctor will ask you to do a routine blood test to see your platelet count to be aware of dengue fever and see if there are signs of bacterial infection which is judged by the increase in the leukocyte count. Tests for malaria are usually best done when the patient is shivering, while tests for typhus can only be detected when you have had a fever for at least 6 days. This is important because all of these conditions have different treatments. Also tell your doctor the accompanying symptoms that you feel during a fever, such as whether you have diarrhea or even difficulty defecating, whether your tongue is white and dirty, whether you have nosebleeds or bleeding gums and the like. While waiting to see a doctor, our advice is that you rest at home and don't do strenuous activities first, maintain your nutritional intake and drink lots of water. You can also take vitamins and paracetamol to reduce fever, of course, by following the rules listed. I hope you and your family are always healthy.
That's all, hope it helps.
