Fever To Chills?
…it’s been 3 days my husband has a fever but has been taking treatment why does his fever go up and down and sometimes he feels chills accompanied by joint pain and dizziness, his neck also feels stiff… What do you think it hurts… please enlighten me
When someone has a fever, other complaints such as chills, chills, aches and pains, headaches will usually also be experienced, but the cause of this fever is quite a lot so that these complaints do not typically lead to a certain disease condition.
Fever itself is not a disease but a symptom, some medical conditions that can cause fever are:
Sore throat accompanied by infection Cough, cold, and flu Diarrhea Typhoid fever Dengue Measles Urinary tract infection
If the fever has not improved for more than 4 days, especially if you have been undergoing treatment, it is recommended that your husband return to the doctor for a check-up, later a blood test may be considered to find out the source of the fever. During the basic examination and interview, it was suspected that the source of the fever was from the gastrointestinal tract.
Even after treatment, your husband is expected to continue to reduce his daily activities, then eat a balanced nutritious diet, and drink more water to help lower body temperature.
Compresses with warm water on the forehead area also help lower body temperature, and don't forget to take medicines that have been obtained from the doctor according to the instructions given.
If the condition is stable or improving (since the last doctor's visit) even though the fever has not gone away, don't worry first, let the medicines work for more than 2 days while continuously monitoring the symptoms experienced and recording body temperature patterns (if you have a thermometer) , then what is the third day or even though it is less than 3 days but the condition gets worse, your husband should immediately be taken to the nearest health facility so that further studies can be carried out regarding his condition,
