Fever With Rash?
..my child last night suddenly became hot..Then tonight there are rashes on the back and legs..but the fever has gone down..why is it..thanks
Hi Rina, thanks for the question.
A fever with the appearance of a rash has many possible underlying causes. Fever itself is the body's reaction to infection, which can be caused by a virus or bacteria. Some of the possible causes of rashes in Andi's children, including:
Rubella or German measles Measles or morbili Roseola infantum Chickenpox Drug eruption Singapore flu or HFMD (Hand, foot, and mouth disease) Other bacterial or viral infections
Each of the above diseases has a characteristic rash of each, but it is still difficult to distinguish them without direct examination. Therefore, if the fever or rash persists with other symptoms, you should take your child to the doctor for further evaluation. If it is caused by bacteria, the doctor will give antibiotic therapy, but if it is caused by a virus then supportive drugs will be given. In the meantime, it is recommended that children stay rested, eat nutritious food, drink enough water, and apply warm compresses if the fever returns.
May be useful.
