Filing Like What Is Good After Thawing?
Good evening, dear, you just don’t really understand how to save breastmilk, how to express breastmilk, nHow to express, save, and disburse good breastmilk ..
Good afternoon, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com. It has been agreed by medical associations around the world through world health organizations that breast milk is the best food and source of nutrition for babies, especially those under 6 months of age.
By giving breast milk, children will be exposed to less disease, have regular weight gain, and their intelligence will develop more optimally. In fact, it is not uncommon for babies over 1 year old to still want breast milk as a source of daily nutrition. But unfortunately not all mothers are given the freedom to always meet the needs of their children. For this reason, there is such a thing as ASI or Dairy to be stored and used when needed.
Breast milk can be expressed in two ways, either manually by hand or using a pump. When using your hands, the first thing you have to do is wash your hands thoroughly. Then place the bottle or container of your milk under the breast. Press the breast gently with the fingers forming a C letter with the thumb on top and the other four fingers below. Avoid pressing on the nipples so that the milk does not pass, and continue until the flow of milk stops. If so, repeat with the other breast. If you don't succeed right away the first time you try, don't worry, because sometimes it takes a few exercises to understand the proper way. The procedure for using the pump is usually provided in the package of the product you buy.
Then after collecting it in bottles or plastic packaging, apart from of course the cleanliness of the breast milk container, what you should pay attention to next is how long you want to store the breast milk. Depending on the storage temperature, breast milk can last at different times, namely:
Up to 6 hours at room temperature or around 25 degrees celsius Up to 24 hours in a cooler with an ice pack Up to 5 days in the chiller or the chiller section at the bottom door of the two-door refrigerator Up to 6 months if stored in the freezer with a temperature of -18 degrees Celsius or even lower
If you want to freeze it, then don't overload it as breast milk can expand while freezing. Frozen breastmilk may change color, smell and consistency compared to fresh breast milk. This is normal and you can simply shake it when it's liquid to mix it up again.
To thaw it, the best way is not to warm it up immediately but gradually. If initially from the freezer, lower it first on the refrigerator door below, to room temperature, then you can use an electric breast milk warmer or place the ASIP storage bottle into a pot or bowl filled with warm water. No need to use boiling water, let alone put it on a pan on a burning stove. If ASIP is needed immediately, then you can place it under running water at normal temperature, then run it under warm water. Always remember not to use the microwave as it can be harmful to the baby and take away the benefits of breast milk.
So, hopefully it answers your question.
