Finasteride Treatment To Overcome Extreme Baldness?
I previously underwent prescription treatment in my area. My complaints are pretty extreme baldness at the front and bottom where every hair loss goes with some sort of follicle, so it’s like gravel and hair that doesn’t fall out anymore. Then after consulting a doctor by trying various types of drugs that did not work until the doctor concluded the usual hormone problem. Then he suggested the use of a 5mg finasteride type drug. Well after I read it, it turns out that the 5 mg levels are for the prostate and the 1 mg ones are for baldness. So my question is whether I keep following the doctor’s prescription (keep giving the same prescription every time I consult, plus being given some kind of injection like a vitamin with the doctor) or I consume 1mg but still in accordance with the recommended 1×1 day.
Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Finasteride is a 5-alpha-reducrase enzyme inhibitor, which is an enzyme needed in the formation of the hormone dihydrotestosterone. This drug works by suppressing the hormone dihydrotestosterone level by inhibiting the conversion of the hormone testosterone into the hormone dihydrotestoron. This drug is usually used as a method of therapy in cases of benign enlargement of the prostate gland as well as to overcome the problem of baldness related to hormones in men.
Finasteride is a hard drug whose use must be based on prescribing and supervision by a doctor who treats patients directly. Therefore, unfortunately we cannot provide recommendations / instructions for the dosage of this drug. If you are in doubt about the dosage of medication you need to use, we recommend that you consult directly with the doctor who treats you and prescribe you the drug.
