Flatulence In Babies Aged 11 Months?
night, I want to ask this, my son is 11 months old, his stomach has been bloated for a week, he is still healed, sometimes bloating again, sometimes on the right side and sometimes on the left, I have checked my child as a doctor but it’s still great, why is it and the solution should be what?
Hello Risna, Thank you for the question.
Flatulence is caused by gas buildup in the stomach and intestines. This gas build-up can be caused by increased gas production from food metabolism or sluggish gastric and intestinal movements. Does your child have any other symptoms, such as diarrhea, looks straining, fussy, refuses to eat and breastfeeds? Bloating can be caused by:
cow's milk allergy
If this complaint doesn't get better, especially if your child seems to be straining when defecating, diarrhea or constipation occurs, fussiness, and high fever, please have your child's condition checked by a pediatrician. The doctor will ask about your child's health condition and your child's diet and then carry out an examination of your child. If necessary, the doctor will perform further tests such as a stool examination or ultrasound. After this examination the doctor will determine the next treatment. In the meantime, feel free to keep providing milk and food for your child. Give food in small portions but more often, do not give too much food in one serving.
Hope this information is helpful.
