Food That Is Suitable Post-appendectomy?
Want to ask food that is suitable for snacking after appendicitis what is it?
Hello Sahfa, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
After appendicitis, basically you can go back to eating food as you normally eat everyday, but it is highly recommended to increase your intake of vegetables and fruits and water to help prevent constipation.
However, if you have just finished surgery (still in the process of recovering in a hospital), you are advised to consume water first after the operation is complete. After feeling more comfortable (no nausea), you can start consuming food that has been provided by the hospital because the food must be adjusted to your condition.
Furthermore, if your condition is much better and you don't experience any complaints during eating (nausea or vomiting), then you can start trying other foods like you eat everyday and it is recommended to continue to maintain fluid intake of at least 6-8 geas per day.
If as long as you try to eat food always followed by the presence of other complaints, it is advisable to check yourself back to the doctor who is operating on you for further evaluation of your condition, and whether you need therapy for certain drugs to overcome these complaints.
I hope this helps.
