Formula Milk Is Good For Children Aged 7 Months?
I just want to give formula milk to my child, because when he was just born, he gave lactogen milk but he had diarrhea, I want to ask a doctor who is suitable for a 7 month old child, what is a good formula, because I usually leave my child for work.
Thanks for the question. Having the right formula for your baby is not easy. It's not uncommon for mothers to have to change formula several times before finding the right one for your baby. The most important thing you do is pay attention to the content in the milk. In general, every formula has the same main nutritional content, namely carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals. What is different from each formula is the protein content, some contain whey protein, casein protein, or a combination of both. First, make sure on the packaging that the dairy product you are going to choose is suitable for babies under 1 year of age. Products that are usually recommended are cow's milk products. Then you notice the protein content in it. For newborns whey milk protein is easier to digest so this protein content is recommended, but you can also have one that combines two proteins (make sure the whey composition is higher than casein). You can change the brand of milk to another if your baby has diarrhea or vomiting. Avoid choosing soy milk, sweetened condensed milk, regular milk, goat's milk, evaporated milk, and almond milk. If you are still confused about having a good formula, don't hesitate to consult a pediatrician.
You need to remember that formula milk cannot match the benefits of breast milk. If your breasts are still producing milk, you can give expressed breast milk (ASIP) to your baby. Make sure you know how to properly store ASIP.
