Freckles On Hands And Feet?
Hello, I’m Vietri, my child has the Singapore flu, after a few days I don’t have a fever anymore, but the small bumps on the feet and hands are still there.. is it okay to get in the water (shower)??
Hello Vietria, Thank you for your question on HealthReplies.com
Singapore flu or HFMD (Hand Foot Mouth Disease) is an infectious disease caused by a virus that often attacks children. the symptoms are high fever, sore mouth, canker sores, and rashes on the palms of the hands and feet, in general this disease is not dangerous and can disappear within 2 weeks, but in some cases or very rarely this disease causes complications of meningitis, polio and even death. However, if the nodules on the hands and feet are still present within a few days, the fever subsides, and is accompanied by itching, there could be other possibilities, namely:
Scabies or scabies
Eczema or atopic dermatitis
If in more than 2 weeks the spots on the hands and feet still do not disappear, even itchy and multiply, you should check your child's condition to a dermatologist, so that an immediate examination can be carried out and the exact cause can be determined, and can be handled according to the cause.
Some things to do
If you don't have a fever, you have to take a shower because if you don't take a shower, it will make your skin condition worse
Always keep your skin clean
Wash your hands or wash your feet
Feed your child with highly nutritious food for your child's immune system
Provide adequate fluid intake
Keep your home and child's room clean
