Hello, I’m 21 years old Aileen. I want to ask, I have had frequent headaches from the age of 16 until now, but lately I rarely have headaches, but when I have headaches and I can’t stand it, I won’t be able to wake up from bed bed for 2 days or even I fainted until I regained consciousness tomorrow. That’s why yes? And I also experienced my heart beating so fast that I was weak and had chest pain, even shortness of breath, and even though I forced the activity, my heart rate was still hard even when I was active. I wonder why, please answer.

1 Answer:

Hello Aileen, Thank you for the question.

Have you seen your doctor directly about your complaint? The cause of your complaint cannot be known with certainty if the doctor does not directly examine you. The causes of headaches vary widely, and more information is needed about the characteristics of the headaches you feel and any other symptoms you feel. Causes of continuous headaches include migraines, tension headaches, chronic daily headaches, headaches due to activity, hemicrania continua, and rebound headaches.

Palpitations can also be caused by a number of health conditions such as anxiety disorders, hyperthyroidism, heart rhythm disorders, emotional distress, anemia, side effects of drugs, and others. Heart palpitations are often accompanied by other symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, cold sweat, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fainting, and weakness.

If these two complaints really bother you and especially because these complaints have been happening for several years, you should consult your doctor directly. To find out the cause, the doctor needs to ask further questions about your complaint, examine you, and perform other tests such as blood tests, EKG, CT scan, MRI. After knowing the cause, the doctor will provide the right treatment for you.

Please follow these suggestions:

identify headache triggers and try to avoid them
get enough rest
multiply the consumption of nutritious foods
consumption of water at least 2 liters per day
exercise regularly
manage stress well
applying relaxation breathing techniques, meditation, or following yoga

Hope this information is helpful.
