Frequent Headaches After Typhoid Hospitalization?
Afternoon..I was only hospitalized a week ago.and I have typhus..but why after coming home I still have headaches..does it still have something to do with my typhus?thank you
Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection that attacks the body through contaminated food or drink. Symptoms can include fever for up to 1-2 weeks, digestive complaints such as nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, headaches and others.
The treatment itself is to provide appropriate antibiotic therapy, rest and maintain food and fluid intake. Treatment in the hospital itself is carried out when the patient has difficulty maintaining good food or fluid intake, severe nausea and vomiting or dehydration occurs.
After treatment, the body still needs time to recover, so some symptoms such as headaches or indigestion may still occur.
For this reason, what can be done is to follow treatment from a doctor, meet fluid needs, get enough rest, keep doing light activities because lying down too much can also cause headaches, as well as having regular check-ups or check-ups to monitor your post-treatment condition.
With time, it is hoped that the body will recover soon and be able to carry out activities as usual, of course, try to maintain food intake, be diligent in washing hands and choosing clean food and drinks so that typhoid does not recur.
Hope it is useful,
