Hello,

Vomiting is a symptom of a condition / disease. Vomiting can be caused by serious medical conditions or minor medical conditions. If your vomiting has occurred for more than 2 weeks and vomiting more than 3 times a day, you should be aware of symptoms associated with vomiting such as signs of lack of fluids (excessive thirst, mouth and lips and dryness, dizziness, palpitations). , more than 4 hours of not urinating), vomiting mixed with blood in large quantities, weight loss of more than 4 kg in one month, constipation / diarrhea, fever for more than 2 weeks.

Dry mouth and throat and thickened saliva are most likely associated with irritation of stomach acid in the upper throat due to vomiting.

Some of the causes of vomiting:

Emotional stress, mood disorders / depression. A reaction to certain smells, especially in people with sensitive smells. Respiratory tract / urinary tract infection. Digestive problems such as acid reflux, ulcer, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction. Gallstone disease, hepatitis and other stomach problems. Certain medication side effects. Symptoms of certain types of cancer. To determine what caused the vomiting you are experiencing, you should immediately consult a doctor. The doctor will carry out the stages of a medical examination and if a serious medical condition is suspected, you may be advised to carry out supporting examinations such as blood tests, urine analysis, abdominal x-rays / ultrasound.

Treatment will be given based on the medical condition found by the doctor.

While at home, do the following tips:

Get enough rest when your body condition is not fit. If the complaint feels like vomiting comes, sit quietly and try to relax. Consume small, frequent meals and drinks. Avoid food and drink and rooms that smell strong. After eating large amounts, avoid walking or lying down. Avoid smoking and alcoholic beverages. Drinking warm water can help relieve vomiting. Sucking on candy or chewing fruit can increase your saliva production so that your throat doesn't feel dry.
