Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Is your pregnancy check up a competent health worker to assess the condition of the pregnancy (for example: a doctor, midwife, or obstetrician and gynecologist)?
Nausea and vomiting are problems that are often experienced by pregnant women, especially in early pregnancy. Complaints of nausea and vomiting that occur early in pregnancy are usually up to 16 weeks of age. There are several factors that influence the symptoms of nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy, including:
Psychological factors, such as emotions and stress
The problem of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women needs special attention and treatment because of the risk of becoming more severe to the condition of hyperemesis gravidarum (severe vomiting in pregnancy). This situation is at risk of causing dehydration, acid base and electrolyte disorders, metabolic disorders (ketosis), drastic weight loss. Pregnant women are more prone to experiencing this bad condition if the intake of nutrients and fluids is not qualified.
If symptoms continue to be felt disturbing, we recommend that you periodically, for example every week, take control of your doctor, midwife, or obstetrician and obstetrician so that your condition and the fetus can be carefully monitored. The ice beverage products you mentioned cannot be an adequate source of nutrition to meet your nutritional needs during pregnancy. You need to maintain adequate nutrition wherever possible. Vitamin and mineral supplementation is very likely you need. Consult with your doctor about nutritional needs and good eating arrangements for your condition. Your doctor may provide vitamin and mineral supplements and medications to help treat vomiting.
Immediately to the doctor if the symptoms of vomiting are getting worse, the body is getting weaker, palpitations are getting weaker, or decreased consciousness. As a recommendation, you should drink plenty of water, eat balanced nutritious food with small portions and more frequent frequencies (small, frequent feeding), adequate rest and avoid fatigue. Avoid consuming foods that can trigger nausea, for example those that have a pungent odor (example: durian) or which are high in fat (example: coconut milk).
