Frequently Head Banging When Sad Or Angry?
Good afternoon doctor.
Hello Iindrii, Thank you for the question.
Even though you have not taken action that you did not threaten life (such as using a knife or other sharp objects), but the act of banging your head or hand and scratching your limbs to bleed is one form of self-harm. This condition cannot be said to be reasonable and requires further treatment. Do you feel more satisfied or relieved after taking these actions? If you do not do this action, you continue to feel angry / sad and out of control?
The symptoms you mentioned above can be caused by a variety of mental health disorders below:
borderline personality disorder (BPD)
Because this condition has been going on for several months, my advice, please consult your psychiatrist / psychiatrist immediately. The doctor needs to ask questions and answers to you to understand your complaint and determine the exact cause. Medical conditions that definitely need to be known by the doctor so that the doctor can determine the appropriate treatment for you that can be in the form of psychological therapy and medication. You should not delay consulting with a doctor to avoid things that are not desirable.
You can still try to do things that you enjoy, for example your hobbies, to help calm your mind. Please keep trying to tell your family and closest friends. Try also to follow meditation or yoga to help calm down,
Hopefully this information is useful.
