From The CT Scan Results There Is An Uncertain Indication Of TB Disease, What Should Be Done Next?
Sorry I want to ask. This was the last week when I finished my medical check-up, the CT scan showed that there was an indication of TB but it was still uncertain. After I tested the poop on saliva it was negative. After that I also did not experience a cough, let alone to bleed, what is the solution? thanks.
Hello Basoka, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
CT scan and sputum examination are supporting examinations that are often used in assisting the diagnosis of tuberculosis but it must be remembered that in establishing a diagnosis is not enough just based on the results of supporting examinations. need to do a history and direct physical examination.
Sputum testing aims to see whether or not there is TB germ content in sputum from the respiratory tract, it is important to remember that only TB is in sputum and not saliva. while the CT scan generally aims to see the condition of the lung tissue itself, is there an inflammatory process of infection, and so forth.
Therefore, it is better for you to see a lung doctor to get further examination and treatment that is right for you.
So much information from me, hopefully it helps.
