Fundal Height 29 Cm?
Afternoon, I want to ask. I am 34 weeks pregnant and 29 cm high, is it good enough? And how much is the weight of the fetus? n
Hello Nur99, thanks for the question for HealthReplies.com
Fundal height measurements can usually be started after 20 weeks of gestation. Normally the fundal height can give an idea of gestational age at 20-36 weeks. For example, a woman who is 30 weeks pregnant, her fundus height is in the range of 30 cm (can range from 28-32 cm). At 34 weeks, the fundal height should be in the range of 34 cm (may range from 32 to 36 cm).
Your fundal height shows a number that is smaller than normal. This can happen for several reasons, including:
there is an error in determining gestational age based on HPHT
oligohydramnios (low amniotic fluid)
transverse baby position
there is fetal growth disorder
To be sure, it's a good idea to check with your obstetrician for a pregnancy ultrasound to see if there are any disturbances in your fetus and pregnancy.
Determination of estimated fetal weight from fundal height is not an accurate measurement. However, from your fundal height (29cm), your estimated fetal weight is around 1600 grams. To know more about the estimated weight of your fetus, you should do an ultrasound first.
That's all the information from me, hopefully it's enough to answer
