Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
First of all, have you seen doctors and doctors who diagnosed you with GERD? Is the syrup sucralfat really prescribed by your doctor? Basically the medicine for GERD is drugs that decrease stomach acid production (can also be given promotility drugs) coupled with changes in diet and lifestyle. Sucralfate is not the right medicine given to treat GERD because its function is more to protect the gastric mucosa from gastric acid and other digestive enzymes to facilitate healing of wounds in the stomach (peptic ulcer). GERD itself occurs due to weakness in the gastroesophageal sphincter, which is a valve between the stomach and esophagus that serves to hold food and stomach acid remain in the stomach and does not rise into the upper gastrointestinal tract again.
If indeed you have not gone to the doctor and you diagnose and treat yourself, you should check with your doctor first before you consume other drugs again. Nausea, vomiting itself can occur due to many possibilities, not necessarily caused by problems in the stomach. Other possible causes of nausea and vomiting include:
motion sickness pregnancy gastrointestinal infections and food poisoning ingest certain poisons / toxins excessive alcohol consumption intestinal obstruction gastroparesis head injury other brain disorders (bleeding in the head, brain tumors, infections, etc.) disorders of the bile ducts, liver, or pancreas kidney disorders weight etc. Because of the many possibilities, a direct examination must be done first to find out the exact cause.
For now, there are several things you can do:
try to eat a little but more often do not eat too much and too full reduce eating fatty foods, foods that are too acidic and too spicy avoid lying down after eating avoid eating too close to bedtime try to sleep with a higher base to avoid smoking and drink alcohol avoid drinking caffeinated drinks
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
