Get The Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) Class Of Drugs With Clopidogrel?
Hello, I want to ask, I’m a 33 year old woman now getting clopidogrel from my nerves because early August then to a mild stroke. My question is, is it okay to take cefadroxil, ambroxol, paracetamol yes remembering 24 hours once I drank this cpg and my stomach ulcers recur so can I take sprti sulcrafate lanzoprazole? Because I read it is not good to use with omeprazole. Thanks
Hello Aline, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
you can take cefadroxil, ambroxol, and paracetamol with clopidogrel.
proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class drugs can reduce clopidogrel levels in the body. However, based on research, this reduction effect was lower for lansoprazole and pantoprazole compared to omeprazole or esomeprazole. Although there is a decrease in clopidogrel levels, this effect has not been shown to be clinically significant, and generally most doctors recommend taking PPI-type drugs in individuals who have a history of gastric ulcers.
In conclusion, you can take a PPI (preferably pantoprazole or lansoprazole) with clopidogrel.
that's my answer, hope it is useful
