Giving Cold Medicine After Consuming Vitamin A In Infants?
this morning around 9 o’clock my child was 10 months d given vitamin A from the posyandu, is it permissible if 1 hour later given a cold medicine for cough and atypical recipes from budan? please enlighten me
Hello Irna, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Vitamin A that is given routinely at the posyandu is supplementation recommended by government programs to prevent children from experiencing vitamin A deficiency.
Vitamin A has so far been generally allowed to be consumed close together or even together with cold-cough medicines and antibiotics, but it is not recommended to be consumed / used together with other vitamin A derivatives either taken or smeared.
However, if you want to be sure, you should consult with your doctor again about the condition of your child and also the drugs that are being consumed whether it is still recommended for use after routine vitamin A administration or not.
I hope this helps.
