Got Toxo Or Not?
Thanks for the question. Toxoplasmosis is an infection of the Toxoplasma gondii parasite in the body. Most people infected with this parasite have no specific symptoms. Common symptoms include fever, muscle aches, sore throat, and fatigue. Infection in pregnant women can cause miscarriage, stillbirth, or congenital toxoplasmosis in babies who are in the cage, causing brain damage, visual impairment, and hearing loss.
This parasite can infect the human body through:
consumption of vegetables and fruits or drinks contaminated with cat feces consumption of raw or undercooked meat (including raw fish) consumption of contaminated raw goat's milk Thus, if you like to eat raw fish, then the risk of infection with toxoplasma remains. To be sure, blood tests are needed to detect immune substances / antibodies that are formed in reaction to this infection. Please consult with your obstetrician and gynecologist again regarding the results of your examination. If the results show a positive result, then the doctor will perform further tests to determine whether your fetus is also infected. Then the doctor will determine the next treatment.
Hope this information is useful.
