Growth Slowed At The Age Of 13 Years?
I want to ask .. I’m 13 years old I am diligent in sports and my diet is also regulated, but why is my growth slow. There are even friends who were under my height but now I’m far behind
Hello Yoga, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
When entering puberty, there are many changes in a man's body. Between the ages of 10-13 years usually begin to see changes such as enlargement of the penis and testicles, growth of pubic hair, armpit hair, and facial hair (mustache / beard), voice changes, enlargement of the Adam's apple. These signs usually appear before the period of rapid growth (growth spurt). Growth spurt in men can occur between the ages of 12-15 years, on average 2 years slower than growth spurt in women (therefore if your current height is overtaken by your female friends, this is a matter that very reasonable). Height growth will usually stop at the age of 16 years, but your muscles can still continue to develop.
If you have not yet entered your period of rapid growth / grow spurt, it can still be said to be normal. To be able to maximize your height later, here are some things you can do:
Make sure you eat nutritious food in sufficient quantities Do regular exercise every day Enough sleep every day (at your age it is recommended to sleep at least 9-11 hours a day) All three of the above are things that are very important to support one's height growth , therefore, make sure you meet all three so that your height growth can be maximized.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
