Habit Of Biting Objects So That Concentration And Not Nervous?
hello, why can I concentrate or become more whole if I bite any object (clothes, nails, pens, candy, etc.) and if not I will feel restless and out of focus
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The habit of biting things like you do, is actually quite common, especially in those who have certain anxiety, are easily nervous, embarrassed or tense for one reason or another. On a milder level, we can see women who like to play with their hair, move their legs, play buttons on their clothes or squeeze pens. This is natural, and not to worry about.
But if the majority of your daily life has been overwhelmed by that, in the sense that you really can't concentrate if you don't bite something, then that might have become an inherent habit and is a form of mental disorder, indeed not a severe mental disorder such as schizophrenia, depression or bipolar, but still categorized as mental disorders.
For this reason, it would be better if you check yourself with a psychologist or psychiatrist so that you can dig up a deep history of your condition, and know more clearly the possibility of the disease and the best treatment. Maybe there will be certain therapies to make you able to control yourself better and minimize the urge to bite things. Meanwhile, try to do soothing things like meditation, yoga, sauna, inhaling aromatherapy and listening to soft music, while trying to prolong your duration of not biting objects. Do this gradually and if you have difficulty, check yourself immediately. So, hopefully answering your question.
