Hail Positive Testpack But Fetal Ultrasound Results Have Not Been Seen?
Tonight dokt want to ask, before I had previously miscarried in my first pregnancy in the month of 10 years 2018 ago, and now I try a positive urine test dokt positive, and today I check up to the doctor. The objective was that after transgaginal ultrasound was seen only the sac of pregnancy and the prospective fetus did not appear. Is my pregnancy condition 7w2d at this time is that normal doct ?? And I suggest to go back to ultrasound in the next 2 weeks, please advise doctor if this affects my early pregnancy?
Hello Dwi, thank you for asking.
A history of miscarriage does have an influence on subsequent pregnancies. People with a history of miscarriage, the risk for recurring miscarriages, will increase. However, this does not mean that someone will have difficulty getting pregnant. The opportunity to get a normal pregnancy certainly still exists. Depending on the cause of the previous miscarriage, the miscarriage may or may not be repeated. For example, if a previous miscarriage is caused by a TORCH infection, then if until now the infection has not been treated, then the risk of recurring miscarriages certainly exists. But for example a previous miscarriage due to injury, of course in pregnancy this time the possibility of miscarriage is not repeated.
Regarding the fetus has not been seen on ultrasound, it can be normal or not. In early pregnancy it is often seen only amniotic sac without a fetus. Generally doctors recommend a repeat ultrasound two weeks later. If until the age of a few weeks is not seen by the fetus, the doctor may make a diagnosis of bligthed ovum, a condition in which the fetus fails to develop.
At this time you should not be too worried first. Keep ensuring optimal nutritional intake and adequate night rest. If there is sudden bleeding from the vagina, immediately contact a doctor.
Hopefully this answer is enough to help you. Regards.
