Handling A Full Ear Such As Intruding Water?
I want to ask in the past few weeks, my left ear is like “full”, that’s like getting in the water, but strangely, it doesn’t come up sometimes and sometimes it disappears. hearing is still normal and I’ve tried to drop ear oil. in the last few days the feeling of being “full” moved sometimes to the right ear even though the dominant one was still the left one. there is no discharge or anything from both ears and hearing is still normal. But sometimes it just annoys the problem because the ear feels like being stuck in water. or maybe insects are there or are there other diagnoses?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Ears that feel full can be caused by several possibilities, including:
there is impaired function of the Eustachian tube (the channel that connects the middle ear cavity with the cavity behind the nose and throat which functions to balance the pressure in the middle ear)
infections of the external ear (otitis externa)
infections of the middle ear (otitis media)
ear plugs (cerumen prop)
blockage by a foreign object
To find out the cause with certainty, of course, have to do direct ear examination. You should check yourself with an ENT doctor so that you can further evaluate your ear.
If indeed there are no abnormalities found in the ear (no infection or blockage), it is likely that the cause of your ear that feels full is impaired function of the Eustachian tube. Eustacheus can be blocked when you have a cold cough or if you often experience allergies. In this case, your symptoms will improve on their own within a few days if the cause of the tubal obstruction has been resolved (meaning you are no longer sick with a cold cough or have not been exposed to allergens anymore.
For now, avoid poking around your ears (with ear scrapers, cotton buds, fingers, or other objects). You should also not just drip certain drugs into the ear. Dropping the drug in the ear carelessly can be dangerous, especially if there is a hole in your eardrum.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
