Handling After Loose Nails And Blackened Nails?
, my son 2th finger his right ring finger off. After a while like sores under the nails and purulent inside, reddish swelling. I just clean it with alcohol and betadine. It was dry for a long time but took off all the nails. Now it’s starting to grow again (it’s only half not full yet) but why black huh? How can my child’s nails return to their normal color? Thank you
Thank you Paula Sara for the question on the Alodotker forum, the condition of black nails can be caused by several conditions such as:
- accumulation of blood under the nails
- fungal infection
other conditions, such as diabetes, anemia, heart disease, or kidney disease
In general, blackened nails are caused by the accumulation of blood under the nails, in this condition the nails will usually grow back and over time will replace the black part of the nails. Although this nail growth usually takes a while it usually takes about 3 to 6 months. However, in cases that your child is experiencing at this time, you should be able to see a related doctor so that he can do a direct examination to confirm the condition before he can give an appropriate treatment.
