Handling For Small Cavities?
Hello, I’m a 28-year-old woman. R nAlhamdullilah happen to not have many dental problems. But, every time I control the dentist, there are things that I always confuse. 🙂 r n r nSo … when I control, my teeth are not perfect, there are many holes … but they are very small, invisible, and there is no discoloration there, and it doesn’t hurt (at all) , or having problems during activities. r n r nIf I go to doctor A, he said that the small holes are good, everything should be patched up. but there hasn’t been any problem yet, it doesn’t need to be patched … because unfortunately the original teeth, after all, are also small holes. I see. R n r nHere, because there are 2 Doctor’s opinions that I often meet, I get confused how good is that? to be honest, I am a bit afraid to see a dentist so avoid things like I have just been to the doctor. r n r nBut I don’t want to take any unnecessary actions. no problem, it’s all good to patch up? r nSo my teeth will have a lot of small patches here and there, and that’s really good / ideally, isn’t it? the original tooth is not much wasted for small holes? r n r nPlease explain, yes, because it will be very helpful for my decision to take care of teeth in the future. r n r nThank you very much. 🙂

Healthy teeth will give a beautiful smile and the health benefits of a good oral cavity and can prevent bad breath. Thus, maintaining healthy teeth is an important step in maintaining a healthy body.
In cavities, there are 3 types of cavities, namely:
1. smooth facial cavity, which is on the tooth surface
2. root cavity, which is in the tooth root area
3, pit and favure cavity, which occurs in the upper surface area for chewing, starting at the surface and can penetrate to the roots
No matter how small the cavities that occur, care needs to be done optimally to prevent small tooth cavities from widening and damaging the tooth layer. Thus, dental care with a small cavity that is still in its early phase is still being treated, namely with fluoride treatment where fluoride treatment is expected to help restore damaged tooth enamel.
In connection with the question you are asking, the existence of a starting hole in the layer of your teeth is expected to still be able to do dental treatment by a dentist. If this small hole is not treated even though there are no complaints of pain, then this hole can be widened and deepened causing damage to the tooth layer. Handling these cavities depends on the results of your dentist's evaluation, is enough treatment with fluoride or require filling / filling with certain materials.
With Fluoride treatment, doctors can provide treatment with gel, vanish, or by installing a tray on the tooth to treat small holes in the tooth surface. So that this fluoride treatment does not look like tooth wax.
Therefore, even if the two dentists have different opinions, however, you can still take the necessary treatment steps according to the clinical conditions found. Take the best handling steps that can be given, so that this step is expected to prevent widening holes in your teeth.
During the treatment period, you should also pay attention to several things, such as:
1. choose toothpaste according to your doctor's advice
2. brush your teeth regularly
3. pay special attention especially if you consume foods and drinks that are at risk, such as sweet drinks
Thus the info we can convey.
