Handling In Children Who Cry Continues To Upset Stomach?
In the afternoon … I want to ask .. This morning the child was okay but this afternoon the child was nagis while holding the stomach until I was fussy all the time .. Confused what to do .. What do you think?
Hello Irma, Thank you for the question.
Because your child is still fussy, have you taken your child to the doctor to determine the cause? How old is your child? Does your child experience other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea / constipation, fever, flatulence, decreased appetite, or other complaints? Children who are seen holding their stomach while crying may be because their stomach hurts. Causes of abdominal pain in children such as intestinal infections, acid reflux, constipation, colic, food allergies, appendicitis, urinary tract infections, and others.
If your stomach ache does not improve or worsen, you should immediately bring your child to consult a doctor. The doctor needs more information related to this complaint and conduct an examination on your child. The doctor may also do other tests such as blood tests, urine tests, stool examinations, x-rays, ultrasound. From this examination the doctor will find out the cause and determine what treatment is right for your child.
You can take care of yourself at Rumha if you have a mild stomachache. You can still give food to children but in small portions and more often. Take care of your child's water intake and let your child rest. Avoid giving pain relievers without doctor's advice, you can do a warm compress on your child's stomach. However, if the stomach ache seems severe enough, please consult a doctor immediately.
I hope this helps.
