The complaints you experience can be influenced by various possibilities such as:
The tonsils are glands in the throat cavity that actually have a function as a place for the body's immunity. But in some conditions, this gland can become inflamed such as due to an infection. This inflammation can cause swollen and painful tonsils. Usually also accompanied by white patches and hollows that seem like wounds. Injury to the tonsils can also occur due to several reasons such as stabbing or something else. Diphtheria can also cause the complaints you experience, where this disease is quite dangerous because it can clog the airways.
It's a good idea to check with your doctor. It takes a more complete interview and a direct examination of the tonsils that you mean. without it, your condition cannot be determined. Later therapy will be given according to what you are experiencing.
What you can do in the meantime:
Avoid spicy consumption, cold drinks and reduce oily food
Wash hands with soap before eating and drinking
Keep your mouth clean
If complaints do not improve, immediately consult a doctor.
I hope this helps.
