Handling Of Sliced fingers?
Hello doc. Want to ask, is the injury to the finger cut by a knife dangerous, I was determined to wash the dishes, and the possibility of washing water / soap absorbed into the plaster, and after that I used to rinse with running water. Is it okay if I just plaster. Without having to be examined by a doctor? I need advice too. thank you
Good evening, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Iris cuts are fairly common injuries, either because of the scraping of the edges of the paper, or because of the use of a knife in the kitchen. This condition is generally harmless, as long as there is no history of blood clotting disorders that can make it difficult for blood to stop flowing.
In your case, absorbing soapy water into the plaster may only make it irritate, but allowing the damp tape to make the healing process slower and increase the likelihood of bacterial growth can be a cause of further infection.
So, you should replace the tape with a new bandage, and avoid getting exposed to water as much as possible. This condition should improve in a few days. But if the wound is more painful, does not heal or pus, check yourself to the doctor. So, hopefully answering your question.
