Handling Of Tight Cough In Post-circumcised Children?
My child has been circumcised. After 2hr, the child has a cough. I dealt with it because my child has a lump … medicine to take, how about it?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Cough complaints especially in children need to be reassessed and a direct physical examination to determine if there are any conditions that can cause more severe conditions in the future. Cough in children can be caused by acute airway infections, influenza, bronchitis, pneumonia, accumulation of mucus in the lower airway, or bronchiolitis, and so forth. Each of these conditions can be different handling.
Therefore, we advise you to consult with the nearest doctor to have a physical examination of your child. To reduce complaints of coughing children at home can be done by:
1. Increase water consumption
2. Give honey if children aged above 1 year
3. Use an air humidifier
4. Raise the child's head while sleeping
5. Take a shower with warm water
Beware if the child experiences the following complaints then immediately bring the child to a health facility, including:
1. Cough more than 2 weeks
2. Fever more than 38 degrees Celsius
3. Difficulty breathing
4. Chest pain
5. Looks of muscle pull between the ribs and neck
6. Pain in the ear
7. Lips and fingertips appear bluish
That's all, hope you can help
