Handling The Head Hit By A Hard Object?
ok, I want to ask this afternoon, my head came across a heavy object in quite a large pile and there my head hurt really bad and the head that was hit immediately swelled / had a really big lump and if touched it hurts .. What are the dangers and are there any consequences in the future? because until now it still hurts when it’s hit? Please answer yes thank you
Hi Evi, thanks for the question.
A hard impact or trauma to the head can be at risk of causing injury. These injuries can affect the skin, soft tissue, skull, to the brain. Injuries to the head usually cause mild head trauma, some of the symptoms include:
Nausea and vomiting
Dizziness or lightheadedness
Feeling weak or tired
The lumps that arise are the result of tissue injury that occurs. These lumps will generally disappear after two days. Most minor head traumas do not require special treatment and do not have any impact in the future. However, if the lump persists accompanied by some of the above symptoms, then Evi should see a doctor. The doctor will evaluate whether the injury caused a concussion or bleeding in the brain (hematoma) and provide appropriate treatment.
In the meantime, you can apply cold compresses to the lumps 3-4 times a day and take pain relievers, such as paracetamol, if the pain doesn't subside.
That's it, hope it helps.
