Hands Are Always Shaking When Lifted And It Hurts?
when I was a toddler until now my hands are always shaking when lifted and when lifting a fairly heavy object it definitely hurts and shakes even more. Do you think it’s dangerous or not?
Hi Amira, Thank you for the question.
Shaking hands in medical language are called tremors. Tremors are involuntary repetitive movements of certain body parts. Most tremors occur in the hands and head. This condition is not a dangerous condition but can interfere with your daily activities. The cause of tremors is not always known, but tremors are usually associated with certain health conditions. There are two types of tremor, namely tremors that occur at rest (resting tremors) and tremors that occur when body parts move (action tremors). The following are some of the causes of tremors:
hyperthyroidism multiple sclerosis liver function disorders (liver failure) Parkinson's disease head injury side effects of drugs Please consult your doctor first. The doctor will need to ask more about your complaint and examine you. The doctor may also perform additional tests such as blood tests, CT scan, MRI, or EMG (electromyography) to find the cause. The next treatment will be determined based on your health condition.
Please do the following suggestions to reduce tremors:
do light exercise to strengthen hand muscles, for example by lifting barbells, control psychological stress levels, limit consumption of caffeine-containing drinks, get enough rest every day, avoid alcohol consumption. Hope this helps.
