My Obgyn has been giving mecobalamin 500gr 1 day, but for this time I don’t feel any effect. is there any other way to relieve the pain?
Hello mom! Congratulations on the pregnancy! Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Pain, soreness, and tingling in the fingers, palms, or wrists can be caused by carpal tunnel syndrome. This disorder is quite common in pregnant women. On our wrists, there are ligaments that form tunnels. There is a nerve that passes through the tunnel which runs from the forearm to the hand. When pregnant, there is swelling due to weight gain and a buildup of fluids in the body. The swelling causes this nerve to become compressed, resulting in pain. The pain can occur in one hand or both.
When sleeping, pay close attention to the position of your hands, not to fall on your body or head or other objects. If necessary, prop your hand on the pillow next to you. To reduce swelling during pregnancy, you also need to pay attention to the food you consume. Reduce the salt content in food and avoid eating snacks that are high in salt. You can also do the exercises on your hands. To do this, make your mother's fist and bend your wrist towards the palm of your hand, then stretch your fingers and bend your wrist in the opposite direction (back of your hand). Do this exercise over and over again for 10 repetitions every day. Avoid typing for too long and if you need to type, try to always keep the keyboard straight. The medicine given by the Obgyn doctor should also continue according to the doctor's instructions. If you have done these methods but the pain is still very disturbing, you should return to see the doctor. Your doctor may perform actions on your wrist to reduce the pain you feel.
So much information from me. I hope this helps.
