Hard Lump On Baby’s Head In The Middle.?
Tonight, I want to ask. my son was 15 months old, yesterday I was just fumbling around with my son’s head suddenly there was a lump, before there was none. I asked my wife, she said before she could not fall and hit her head. And I felt a little hard lumps, and at the end it was red like it had been hit. And the next day my son fell backward, until he kept crying screaming. After I touched again, the lump enlarged a little. What lump is that? I asked the pediatrician, the doctor could not be sure. Please consult. thank you
Hello Bayoe, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com
To determine the lump it is necessary to do a direct examination such as the size of the lump, consistency, surface, clear boundaries or not as well as other symptoms. If you have previously checked with a doctor, you can have the option to consult a second opinion.
Here are some conditions that can cause the appearance of bumps on the baby's head, namely:
Hemangiomas or benign blood vessel tumors Furuncles (ulcers) Tissue swelling due to injuries such as falcons, falls and other injuries , is bruised due to rupture of superficial blood vessels under the surface of the skin which can also form a lump or mass. Lymphadenopathy, which is an enlargement of lymph nodes or KGB Other types of tumors If the child or baby has a history of injury usually requires more careful observation, therefore you should talk about it and discuss with your pediatrician's doctor and you need to explain the history of trauma or injury to the doctor for examination and further handling if needed. And if the lump does not shrink in a few days, or gets bigger, or the lump makes the child more fussy immediately see the doctor again for further examination
