Hello Dina Sanjaya,
Boils are infections of the skin that are usually caused by bacteria. Symptoms that arise are reddish bumps appear on the skin, pain, sometimes can rupture pus (thick yellowish liquid / greenish / brownish). Boils can heal completely or also form scar tissue. Increased scar tissue is called hypertrophy, if the scar tissue is larger than the previous wound, it can be called a keloid. Hypertrophic scar tissue and keloids are both prominent in shape. Usually darker (keloid) reddish or purplish, in hypertrophic scarring the color can be darker, the same as the surrounding skin color, or younger.
Scarring generally does not cause complaints, but the keloid usually appears complaints of itching or pain. Handling can use drugs that are injected into keloids or by surgically removing the keloid tissue. Apart from hypertrophy and keloid scarring, lumps in the skin can be caused by other abnormalities such as lipomas, atheroma cysts, ganglion, malignant tumors, and so on. It is impossible to determine the exact cause without seeing the lump directly. You can consult further with a surgeon. After that, it can be determined the right steps for handling these lump cases.
In the meantime you can take pain medication if necessary. Do not squeeze or scratch the bump area. If the lump enlarges quickly, there are sores on the bump, fever complaints arise, you should immediately consult a doctor. Thus my explanation may be useful.
