Harms And Fish Eye Treatment?
Hello WARAHMATULLAHI WABAROKATUH I want to ask whether the fish eye will be dangerous if left for too long and what are the effects? And can the roots get hit by the nerves in the legs
Hello Otbah, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Fish eye or clavus is a thickening of the skin that occurs due to constant friction or pressure on the surface of the skin. Different from calluses (callus), the clavus is smaller in size and there is inflammation of the skin around it so that you can find pain symptoms in the clavus. Clavus also needs to be distinguished from warts that appear due to infection with HPV (human papilloma virus). Clavus does not have roots like warts and will not irritate the nerves of your feet if left unchecked. The complications that may occur with the clavus that are left untreated are inflammation and infection of the clavus which can cause injury to your feet.
Clavus is generally harmless and can be left alone if it is not annoying. If it bothers you (such as causing pain when walking), you can do the following:
Soak your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes
Gently rub your fish's eyes using a pumice stone, not too hard so that no cuts appear
You can do this every day when you want to take a shower
Apply a moisturizing cream on your fish's eye area
Use shoes that are comfortable and the size fits your feet
Use footwear specifically made to reduce pressure on the feet
If the clavus looks very inflamed or there is an infection in the clavus, or if your clavus does not disappear with therapy you do yourself at home, you should check with a dermatologist for certain therapies (removal of the upper skin of the clavus or applying creams for numb the skin over the clavus).
Here is an article that you can read about clavus
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
