Has Difficulty Testing For Color Blindness?
Every time I test for color blindness it’s a bit difficult even though my parents are not color blind and mine isn’t either. So what’s the solution, doctor. That is all and thank you
Hi Fiqi .. Thank you for the question given.
Color blindness is a disease that is inherited due to genetic factors. Color blindness is influenced by the X chromosome so that it can be inherited by both father and mother. It may be that a woman is not color blind but carries the gene for color blindness so that it can still be passed on. People with genetic color blindness affect more boys than girls. Apart from genetic factors, it can also be influenced by certain diseases (for example diabetes, galucoma, sickle cell anemia), due to exposure to chemicals, or due to the consumption of certain drugs.
If you experience difficulties during a color blindness test, it is better if you see an ophthalmologist so that you can do a physical examination directly, and can be supported by the Ishihara test, a compiler test. From the color blindness test, it can also be ascertained whether it is true that you are color blind or not, or if you are color blind then you can determine total or partial color blindness.
