Have Not Felt The Signs Of Childbirth At 38 Weeks Of Gestation?
Good evening, I’m asking about my pregnancy which is now at 38 weeks. A few days ago, I had another ultrasound, the doctor said, “wow .. Is it the date already? ” Was actually the doctor’s interpretation on 16 August-5 September. On the ultrasound, the baby’s development was good, the baby’s position was below, Ari’s too good and her amniotic fluid is normal. . My question is, do you have to use cra at induction ?? There is no other way? I also felt the fake contractions, and my face and legs were swollen for 4 days. Is this a sign that I’m going to give birth soon? Please help
Hello Mrs. Arin,
Estimated delivery is 40 weeks from the first day of last menstrual period. After 37 weeks, the baby is said to be full term and his organs are mature and can function properly outside the uterus.
Induction is done to stimulate the birth process. Your obstetrician must have considered the induction decision. Babies born post-term or too long in the womb (42 weeks or more) can cause various risks, for example meconium aspiration (the baby's first discharge to enter the baby's airway), placenta that is not functioning properly, the baby is too large, fluids slight amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios), and so on. Before unwanted things happen, the birth process is stimulated. Of course, previous examinations have been carried out and made a consideration of whether it is still possible to carry out a normal delivery. Apart from induction, another way to terminate the pregnancy is by caesarean section. If the induction is unsuccessful or there are other considerations, then a caesarean section may be performed.
Right now you can stay calm, think positive and prepare for the birth of your baby. Control according to the specified time.
