Haven’t Had Your Period Yet After Giving Birth?
I want to ask.. I gave birth 3 months ago now my baby is about to walk for 4 months.. but why can’t I menstruate yet..rnMy baby is breastfeeding and is being helped with formula milk..rnAbout when can i get my period smooth..
Congratulations on the birth of your baby. The condition of not having your period is because you are in the process of breastfeeding. This condition is known as lactational amenorrhea (LAM). LAM itself is one of the natural contraceptive methods where no menstruation occurs, so there is no egg maturation process so pregnancy cannot occur. Usually this process is effective within 6 months.
After 6 months, with a decrease in the frequency of breastfeeding the baby because the baby has started getting additional nutrition, usually the menstrual cycle process will begin. So if you really don't want to get pregnant again in the near future, you can plan to use other contraceptives that you can discuss with your doctor. No need to worry about not breastfeeding your baby after menstruation. Breast milk can still be given until the age of 2 years if it can still come out.
If you find it difficult not to breastfeed, and do not experience menstruation, it's a good idea to check with your doctor to find out other causes.
I hope this helps.
