Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Head pain, precisely above the left eyebrow to the back of the eye, often occurs due to migraines, cluster headaches, or also disorders of the eye, such as glaucoma, asthenopia, and so on. It could also, headaches around the eyes that you feel arise due to other causes, such as sinusitis, brain tumors, head injuries, cerebral aneurysms, psychosomatic disorders, and so on.
If the headache appears with swelling above the eyebrows, it could also, the headache appears related to skin infections (for example due to acne, boils, or shingles), irritant contact dermatitis, head injury around the eyebrows, or many other possibilities.
The step you go to see a doctor is actually right. However, if you do not find significant improvement after undergoing a doctor's treatment, you should check yourself back to the doctor or the nearest neurologist so that further treatment is given. In serious suspected conditions, your doctor may also direct you to undergo an x-ray examination, CT scan, or MRI.
In the meantime, try to relieve the pain that you feel by taking paracetamol, while compressing the area of the painful head with a warm compress. Rest yourself from physical activity and excessive stress. Eat regularly and drink enough. Don't forget, don't over-consume caffeinated drinks, stay away from cigarettes and alcohol, and always live a healthy lifestyle.
Hope this helps ...
